Why We Took Interest in Buying a Used 2018 Chevrolet Colorado

Mid-size pickups are mostly regarded as multi-purpose tools especially for heavy-duty business owners. Among them there are some truck models that could earn more trust from their owners across the globe for their usability and reliability score, explained by the famous Bloomington car dealer. The Chevrolet Colorado is one such work haulers, that could compete with several popular family wagons, while its tall-riding weekend machines could pick up anything and dop them with care at their desired destinations. Knowing this well, we were looking for one Colorado model, from the used category, and when we found the 2018 model year edition almost in new condition, we found it worth investing.

This pickup truck from Chevrolet has a lineup that spans a wide range of options to customize your pickup truck, as per your business requirement. That was so impressive an attribute, that we felt like sharing with you, so that you can choose one for yourself, if you have a similar requirement like us.

Trims Offered

We were told that just the last year, Chevrolet equipped the Colorado lineup with an added off-road model that could perform better with a lifted suspension and a unique bodywork named as the ZR2. It was an add on to the existing lineup of the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado, stacking up more levels of comfort and utility in the guises of base, Work Truck, LT, and Z71 trim levels. So, we had a chance to explore the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado lineup for that year that also had the 100th Anniversary Edition package available to celebrate the truck-building centennial of Chevrolet.

Among them, the Base and Work Truck versions of the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado were considered as spartan models that equipped its cabins with standard air conditioning, power driver’s seat, rearview camera, and windows. However, only the LT trim level that we explored more vividly was available with more advanced safety tech like forward-collision warning and lane-departure assist.

Better Drivability

The lineup for the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado consisting of the range topping ZR2 models displayed serious off-road capabilities with all the right sort of machines loaded under the hood and carriage. Our test drive at the Bloomington truck dealer made us experience a ride that was simply no less than floating on air, since the cabin was mounted on a raised suspension with a significantly wider track. What paid it more was the hefty 31-inch Goodyear all-terrain rubber tires that could smother down every uneven pothole lying unknowingly on the road.

Depending on trim level, the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado lineup gave us a choice of different cab configurations that included extended and four-door crew cabs with three bed lengths to choose from. On the other side we could choose either a rear- or four-wheel drive setting.

On the power front there was either a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine offered as the standard, or a weighty 3.6-liter V-6 one being present as an optional upgrade that could deliver 308-horsepower when paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Here we must mention that we chose the latter after seeing its off roading capability through a muddy patch.
